Karrie began her career as a veterinary assistant in 1994 while still in high school, and her decades of experience have made her an invaluable part of our team. She is a strong advocate for pets—always being a voice for those who cannot speak—and is passionate about supporting both patients and her fellow team members.
One of Karrie’s top priorities is teaching and reinforcing Feline Friendly, Fear Free, and Low Stress Handling techniques to ensure every visit is as positive and comfortable as possible for both you and your pet. Her dedication helps create a welcoming environment where pets feel safe and families feel supported.
Outside of work, Karrie balances a busy life with her husband, John, and their adult children, Austin and Mackenzie. At home, she’s kept on her toes by Tory, their spirited Rottweiler mix, Casper the mischievous cat, and Rango, a very judgmental bearded dragon.
In her rare free moments, Karrie enjoys fishing, camping, crafting, canoeing, traveling, relaxing by the fire, and making memories at the family cabin—whether that’s Sunday Fundays on the pontoon or simply gathering with family and friends.
