Jami Stromberg, DVM
Owner - Hospital Administrator
Dr. Jami Stromberg graduated from Columbia Heights High School in 1988 and spent the next eight years at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she obtained both her undergraduate and DVM degree. She then began an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. After the year of intense training, she moved to New England and practiced in a 24-hour general / emergency / referral hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. In 1999, she moved back home to Minnesota and practiced in Maple Grove for seven years. Dr. Stromberg became the owner of the Brooklyn Park Pet Hospital in 2006.
As a general small animal veterinarian she has varied interests, but she especially enjoys the challenges of surgery, dentistry and pain management. She also has experience treating ferrets, rabbits, and rodents. Most importantly, she loves getting to know the family as a pet grows from puppy/kittenhood to old age. She is currently on the board of the Veterinary Hospial Association.
Dr. Stromberg has a busy household that includes four teenagers (and many animals). In her free time, she likes travel, exercise in any form, playing the drums and cello, and tending to her backyard chickens.
