In August of 2008, Crash was carried in by a Brooklyn Park Community Service Officer when he was found in someone’s yard with a gopher trap on his left rear leg. There was no collar or microchip to help locate an owner. His foot was severely mangled with multiple fractures. Dr. Stromberg seriously considered amputation of the foot, but decided to try orthopedic surgery and placed a pin in the foot as well as splinting it for protection. In the time it took for the foot to heal, Crash’s lovable personality came out.
With no owner found he became a welcome addition to our staff.
You can usually find him lounging in his bed near the half door or lapping water from his own coffee cup.
